Moving over from Qantas (status match)

I've been living in HK for many years now but have never joined up with Cathay despite flying them 20-30 times a year.

I've been a Platinum member of Qantas Frequent Flyer (i.e. Oneworld Emerald) for around 8 years. Qantas have stuffed me around too many times lately and I would like to direct my points earn and burn to Cathay.

Total airfare spend would be around US$80k/annum. Weekly short-haul travel in economy or prem economy (i.e. PVG, PEK, BKK, MNL, TPE, etc), along with longer trips to the Middle East, NA and Europe a few times a year.

I am aware that Cathay does not do 'status matches'. However is there any way I can get in touch with someone (email?) who has the authority to move me up to say Gold in the first instance so I can begin to direct my flights to the Cathay program? I would provide 5+ years of Qantas activity statements showing spend and status earned, plus I have 10 or so existing bookings with Cathay up through next month which are currently all tied to my existing Qantas account.

My difficult is that I just don't see any option to contact anyone at Cathay loyalty who could action this. Any advice is appreciated!
