Is this correct? In addition, later if I buy another ticket (again I am the traveler) for an international trip (UA ticket) via the fund in FFC, is there any restriction on the itinerary when I use the FFC or what is the restrictions assuming I always book the UA flight and I am the traveler and will use the FFC within one year after the original ticket was purchased . Thanks.
Yes, you will get full amount to FFC, no fees deducted. And all your other assumptions are correct as well. I think that maybe you can't book a basic economy ticket using these funds but I'm not sure because by default I never book basic economy.
