I have a flight from ATH-IST-CPH; would the check-in agent in ATH be able to accommodate my seat request for the IST-CPH leg, or would I need to check with the transfer desk in IST?

Added: The third-party agent at check-in in ATH was able to accommodate my request for both flights.
