I got ugpraded at the one in Riyadh before it burned down, moved from cheapest King to King with view. Wasn't counting on that so that was nice. Maybe it was an operational upgrade?

I never asked for one at check-in though. Fingers crossed for NRT, RUH, and SIN.

I went in June both times, but it was definitely busier this year. Perhaps that's one factor.

Most of my stays were single nights.

That was the exact reason why, I don't care much for upgrades and wasn't complaining, it was just an observation. Breakfast is my favorite time of the day only when I am staying at a Hilton!
