Upgrades come in waves. Right when you think they've stopped, you'll get a few.

Hampton and HGI do not typically upgrade, in some cases those properties have nothing to upgrade you to, it is not an actual benefit to get an upgrade there, however I've been given suites many times as an upgrade unprompted (before COVID). A couple times I've explicitly asked too, and the upgrade has been granted.
