Last Year, Frequent Upgrades, This Year, Zero Upgrades
I went to Europe twice.. June 2023 and June 2024. I used the new Aspire credit card and the subsequent Diamond status.

I stayed in at least 15 Hilton hotels last year and nearly all of them upgraded me, including the notification in my app. Even the Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam upgraded me (a small one, mind you, to a Deluxe).

This year, I visited several in Europe including Waldorf Astoria in Amsterdam which was spectacular and the other Waldorf Astoria in Versailles which turned out to be bad, it had no hot water the next morning and it was probably the first time I checked out of a five-star hotel without taking a shower, and two in Istanbul (Moda and Gayreteppe).

I didn't receive a single complimentary upgrade from any one of the hotels. I was wondering if anybody else had the same experience. I checked, yep, I'm still Diamond.

I am not feeling the love. I hope it'll be different when I visit Hilton Olaya in Riyadh and Hilton Garden Inn in Singapore (but I just may change that one to Conrad after seeing the photos showing how small the rooms are).
