I have mobility issues. Walk okay on sidewalk but use a walking stick is iffy. No more than two steps without railing. Continuous walking limited to about one to one and a half mile RT.

Going to Table Mtn (lunch break) and riding the cable car works. Going to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens, with lunch break okay. No issue with wine tasting (Franschhoek and Stellenbosch +). Maybe do a day of hop on hop off bus for my wife to do pictures from upper deck. Maybe some time at Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

My question is Cape of Good Hope, Boulder Penguins. Ad pics and tourist pics seem to show lots of steps, very long gravel pathways, rock infested sand, wood board walk with substantial gaps. But I cannot seem to find which, or both of these are impacted with what. Being "wheelchair" accessible is not of value to me. Any suggestions to find the answers that have eluded me, or do we just skip this area?

We will not be renting a car. Lots of tours to choose from and AP hotel easy choices. Might opt for a driver, if we do not fine tours that meet a slower pace at venues.

One more question. I ran into Atlantic View Cape Town Boutique Hotel in Campo Bay while looking for something else. Not the style we normally stay but looks good for casual stay. How does this location line up with the proposed touring we wish to do? We are normally a form of Hyatt, Holiday Inn Express, a form of Marriott. King, AC, couch, Wi-Fi a must...breakfast incl/available, balcony nice, especially with view. Any suggestions?

Thank you.
I believe the funicular at the Cape would work for people with limited mobility. Penguins aren't far from the parking lot. You do see them from a short boardwalk. It didn't seem like there were any gaps to me -- it seemed like a normal boardwalk.
