Even if she hadnt purchased insurance, shouldnt Expedia be responsible for getting her home? I'm not clear why Expedia "made" them buy the tickets. I am concerned that they will state, possibly correctly, that Expedia offered that as a choice, and therefore the added cost is not Expedia's responsibility. I assume the refund of for the cancelled flight would need to come from Expedia, not the airlines involved?
