I'm seriously considering booking 3-4 award nights this weekend. Am a Hilton member, but unfortunately no status. But this is still the deal of the century, even without the free night.

This would be my first time using Hilton Points. I'm looking at March for best weather risks.

So my question to the Hilton/SLH experts is, what do you think the likelihood is that Milaidhoo pulls the plug on before then, even with a confirmed reservation? That a people who booked under SLH through Hilton, will find themselves high and dry with cancelled reservations.

Just based on the questions in FT forums, it honestly wouldn't surprise me if in a month Milaidhoo is looking for a way out of the SLH affliation, just to end the Hilton points, if that's possible. They're going to attract a completely different level of clientele, including folks who've done little to no research into norms in the Maldives, and are fixated on every nuance and $ of the T&C. Which I understand. But at Milaidhoo's price point, these are not their normal customers. Or that Hilton will change T&Cs pretty quickly.

That's my biggest fear in booking this offer. That if I don't book much, (much), closer in than March, honoring this offer may go *poof*.
Any thoughts?
