The conspiracy theory is that it was a deliberate plot to force mission critical code from C++ to Rust….
I pride myself on my knowledge of the English language… but this is beyond my comprehension. Despite having lots of very clever people doing IT ‘stuff’ for me in my previous life, I can only reconcile these kind of events in my head as follows.
- Small IT problem = computer says no
- Medium IT problem = computer says NO
- Big IT problem = computer screams NO,NO, NO!
- Massive IT problem = major panic, world slows down, eventually fixed, some prevention work done, people forget it happened until the next one
YMMV.
