Back when Doug Parker was CEO of US Air, I enjoyed upper tier elite status on AA, was similarly in denial when AA unions cut a deal with Parker to help him take over AA - and the rest is history. I stopped flying WN many years ago but watch with a great deal of interest on where this ultimately lands, as it will have implications across the industry - unlikely to be positive for consumers.
