Apart from a service delay on the train from FRA to Stuttgart, the journey from Milan to Stuttgart was fairly drama free. We arrived at the Porsche museum about 15 minutes before the scheduled noon appointment. About 5 Porsches available for pickup were arranged just outside the entrance to the museum.

Walking into the museum, I found the line for the Porsche Drive program and held my breath. But all in all, the process was pain free. As I mentioned earlier, I had made the booking via the website and my name and some details were in the system. The staff member scanned my international driver's license, and ran my credit card for the rental plus the deductible. What followed was a detailed review of my (for the next 7 days) 2024 Targa 4S.

The retractable hard top is a work of art and could be operated with the key fob.

I popped back into the car, gunned the engine a few times and then drove at about 2 MPH out of the covered area and between some stone barriers.
