As others have suggested, they shifted the fares a few classes up and filed new L fares (no T fares are filed still). I used W as an example and reference as it's the lowest class in the "Discounted Economy" band. Also, this isn't just limited to ORD-TPE but the fares for the entire TPE market (and HKG/MNL) from different origins have increased.
The original title was highly misleading, because most people aren't trying to buy a specific fare class anyway. Most passengers won't care if the W fare increased by $800 if a new L fare was created in its stead, and the L has good availability.
