i'll be arriving at Hongqiao rail station around 930PM on a Fri night and looking for a short one night stay not too far away since we're travelling with family of 4. My hotel choices are a bit limited as I'm trying to use a travel credit through my CC's booking portal.

How is Le Méridien Shanghai, Minhang? it seems kind of close to Hongqiao and near Qibao ancient town so thinking to check that out next morning before leaving. we've been to shanghai many times so have been to the main tourist areas.

1. Would it be easy to get to the hotel from Hongqiao station? and how close is it to the metro station (hopefully this property is close to a station on line 9)?
2. the 2 queen bed rooms seem big enough for 4, but says limit of 3 people. Will I have issues putting on reservation 2 adults, but show up with 2 kids under 8? it shows no availability if i put in 2 kids
3. The rooms include breakfast for 2, if booking for 2 adults would I likely have to pay extra for the kids?
4. since booking through travel portal, what is likelihood the hotel would honor status benefits? wife has marriott gold
