We have a cruise booked out of Barcelona in June. We plan to fly into BCN a couple days early. Post cruise we will be going somewhere else for a few days before flying home. Where is still open and may depend on flights. We’re looking at either Madrid, since we can get a direct flight from Clt and a short train ride to Barcelona, or preferably Bordeaux and Paris or Florence. How can we get the most bang for our points to book using them? Dh has the Sapphire reserve with 167,000 points. Should he book in the portal or transfer points. We’ve never used their points before so not sure how to do any of it. Is that enough for both is us to fly round trip? I’d prefer not flying economy, but premium economy would be sufficient. It looks like some of their partner airlines fly direct to Paris as well. Should we book round trip or multi-city? Which airline would you suggest? I see we can fly rather cheap between Barcelona and Paris, Bordeaux or Florence/Pisa. Any advice would be appreciated.
