Thankfully we were still allowed to depart yesterday evening on UA1698 ANC-IAD which was a 2015L (0015L IAD time) departure so just right around when the outage started I believe. We taxied out for departure and the pilots said we weren't quite ready yet so we went off the runway and into a holding area for a bit then got behind the queue and eventually took off.

It felt like I was in a Stephen King `Langoliers‘ movie this morning when we arrived into Dulles with zero aircraft movement and no one was on the ramp. Tons of canceled flights and delays.
