Revenue ticket prices can change overnight, yes. Redemption prices should not change overnight. BA has got themselves into a habit of increasing avios part or cash part without notice. This is not cool. When people collect avios, they know ticket will cost them X avios plus Y cash; all advertising materials say "avios return flights from X avios + £1"... and don't get me started on the RFS scam, which is basically a hidden devaluation introduced without notice.
I thought the BAEC T&C stated they can make any changes at any times.. yes it’s good practise not to but BA are going to lose few customers by doing so as they have Avios they want to use on their flights. As above approx £100 increase for a family of 4 other options are presumably going to involve more outlay.
