Asking because I haven’t done this before… I’m considering buying a number of flight before August, for 2025 as far out as I can to burn some of my miles with miles +money.

im considering buying my 2025 thanksgiving flight but obviously i can only book a year out. So if i book money +miles for July 2025, and then later this fall, move it out to November ‘25, is there any issue with that strategy? I recognize there could be a difference in fare. But is there any other risk with this approach?
