Shouldn't the base fare stay the same if I am booking the same class for the new dates? She told me that when I booked the base fare was £500 and now it's £750. Anyway her computer was auto quoting the £250 base fare and £108 to change the ticket.
I thought that if I bought T class at £500 and then change the return after flying outbound my base fare is locked in for the return? Is she right in charging £250 extra for the T class thats for sale now?

Will try calling again later to see with a different operator.

I'm a bit puzzled by a total cost of change of £600. The change fee is INR 10000, which is about £92. That implies a fare difference of just over £500 for the half round-trip being changed, or a round-trip fare difference of just over £1,000. But as far as I can see, looking at fares valid today, there is no T class fare that is £1,000 more than today's TLXC0NS6, which is £392 (if priced in GBP); the highest T class fare that EF is showing me is £1,061 round-trip.
If another call doesn't produce any more joy, then the problem is beyond my (very limited) knowledge and understanding.
I guess I'm confused. The OP said in the first post that BA only wanted an additional £250 + change fee. But then later said the total change cost was £600. I guess I could see the change costing an additional £250 and there are certainly fares filed that book into T class that would reflect that amount.
To attempt to completely recreate the fares and fare rules in effect when the OP booked we would need the date he booked and when he first traveled. The fare rules that the OP posted above are for a new rt booking departing 31JUL2024.
