For the Australia-HK-beyond route, the end of June/early July is the start of the Australian school holidays. A lot of people would do Australia-Europe during that time. So they may be blocking award seats for that purpose. However, for the HKG-SYD route, I would have expected seats to be available for the HKG-SYD route to early July.
