I travel with a task-trained service dog (SVAN), and I have an upcoming flight on Air Canada. It's a simple transborder roundtrip.
- I submitted the paperwork (US DOT form) about eight weeks ago to Air Canada's medical desk email, and I received a confirmation that I received it.
- I called the Air Canada one week ago to see if it had been processed/approved/blessed. The friendly agent said that he saw that everything was submitted, and complete, and it should be approved in the system in three or five days.
- Should I expect an email from Air Canada? Will something show up on my booking if I look it up online? Do I need to contact the issuing travel agency?
- I tried cowtool, and I didn't find anything.
I am used to other carriers who send an email and have an indication on the app or website booking.
p.s. I managed to get all of the new CDC paperwork from a wise vet and extraordinary patience with the CDC website. I finally got the magic receipt to admit a dog into the United States. I felt victorious.
