Dear travellers,

I have missed my connecting flight to Singapore with Lufthansa in Frankfurt due to delay arrival of my flight from Manchester to Frankfurt. It was due to late departure from Manchester. Lufthansa has rebooked me onto the following flight which was 12 hours later together with complimentary accommodation and meal. Both flights booked in one itinerary directly with Lufthansa. I have filled in a claim form on Lufthansa and got a response below.

Kindly note that Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004 applies to flights departing from EU member states and flights arriving in EU member states from third countries. As your journey starts in United Kingdom and ends in Singapore, we cannot accommodate your request for compensation according Regulation (EC) No. 261/2004."

Is that correct that I'm not eligible for the 600 euro compensation? If I'm actually eligible, what should I do next?
