I prefer flying AA from the US to Europe because they have good business seats on all flights and will serve food within one hour of take off while BA takes 2 to 3 hours to serve a proper meal with a proper separate drink service before the meal, which means no meal or no sleep.

I prefer flying BA from LHR to the US because there is an extra hour to accommodate BA’s unreasonably slow meal service and the food is excellent on flights out of LHR. Since BA and AA are One World partners, it is usually easy to fly one to the US and the other on return when using cash or awards.

In my opinion, the new BA Business Suites are better than the AA business seats, which are better than the old Club World, but I think that all of these seats are good enough for me to get a good night’s sleep. I avoid the BA A380s because they frequently depart late, have old Club World seats, and involve crowds.
