For us, the most important items are an epi pen (companion w/ serious allergies), Bendaryl pills, aspirin, Bendaryl ointment (for bug bites), and a triple antibiotic ointment for cuts (which you cannot purchase in some countries without a prescription). Then a few Band-Aids, a bit of moleskin for blisters, maybe a few antiseptic wipes.
