Without going too far off topic - the boarding process for CityFlyer is strange aswell.
For example, boarding pass was scanned - told to then join the back of a long queue further ahead. Everyone who had then been scanned was now waiting in an open area where PAX from other flights / anyone else could have joined our queue. I expected our boarding passes to be checked once again, but we then just went straight from that queue 10 minutes later to the aircraft. As unlikely as it may be, anybody could have boarded our aircraft - more innocently, as there was other LHR flight departing 10 minutes prior, somebody could have made a mistake. Might need it’s own topic.
Anyway - that whole process obviously also meant that priority boarding was well out the window.
