For airlines that don't have anytime menu, have you asked if they're willing to delay food service until you are hungry (eat more in lounge before, save main meal for later)? Some are willing to accommodate, some aren't. Of course, this won't help if you get more hungry mid flight.
Would just stick with JL/NH, not really any reason to look further. SQ is fine, but it's a bit of a detour, 14 hr nonstop vs 26 ( 7hr to sin + 6hr layover + 13 hr to Europe )
I have it occasionally and while not as good as NH/JL it is acceptable... My wife tried the Japanese option on UA -- ONCE -- and then never again.
I mean any menu option on UA is horrible, japanese or non Japanese.
