If the flight attendants are violating FAA regulation (e.g. failing to secure the cabin for landing), then it needs to be reported to AA and the US FAA. This is totally unacceptable.

As for seatbelts, I was in a severe turbulence incident a couple of years ago. Fortunately, I keep my seat belt fastened at all times (unless using the lav) and I highly suggest that everyone else does too. We had nearly 3 dozen injuries (a dozen very serious) and they were all people who did not have their seat belt fastened.
