Why with preordering, which closes well before the meals are prepared, they don't adjust numbers is a total lost opportunity. They should cater based on pre-orders plus then some allocation of each type of meal for any pax who haven't preordered.
I pre-ordered a meal on my Polaris flight a few weeks ago, and when the FA came around for orders, she noted I pre-ordered and said something like "We will try to accommodate your preference"? Seemed like a strange comment for a pre-ordered meal.
