One advantage of new Capital One system is that your credit shows up in your account profile the day after the annual fee hits.
Then when you book a ticket the next day after the fee, you get a $300 discount (credit) at once.

Previously you had to book and then wait for the credit to post then cancel.
So for Cap 1 venture X personal or Business cards, one can wait for the fee, book a ticket or reservation then cancel card 2 weeks later with no issues.
$300 rebate x2 +395 fee makes the car effectively a minus $200 cost on top of miles bonuses
