dfwoods, I don't know if it's something in the the Gayness, but we also hate schlepping anything. That's why we love our organized bike trips. Our suitcases are waiting for us in our rooms at the next hotel. All we have to do all day is ride, stop for breaks, snack, and take pictures. Once we reach our next destination we shower, take a nap, then meet up with everyone for a fabulous dinner.
Currently looking at a great bicycle tour of Vietnam, possibly for early 2006. Anyone interested in joining the 2 of us?
I couldn't agree more on the merits of a nice shower, nap or bit of sightseeing, then a wonderful dinner after the day of riding. The only problem is that the food can be a little too good and the wine a little too free-flowing....
Vietnam is tempting, but I am not sure I can swing the time. We are planning a long-ish trip that year for our anniversary, so I may have trouble finding the time to be out of the office twice for extended periods. How many days of riding?
