Panic! After returning to FCO and getting through security, we discovered that our flight to Stuttgart on Eurowings was canceled. On top of that, there were some technical issues with their system that resulted in them not re-booking us to Stuttgart in the morning. Neither the website, the app nor the desk staff could help at all.

​​​​After a good 90 minutes of frustration, I booked a late flight to Frankfurt via Milan on ITA Airways and an onward train to Stuttgart. The Milan to Frankfurt leg was at 7 am the next day.

Our flight from Rome was delayed a bit as well and we reached LIN a little after midnight. We walked about 15 minutes to the Moxy hotel, checked in and went to our room.

I set my alarm for 4 am.
