Sure there's no subway service (just commuter rail), but I prefer those two towns over Revere for many reasons (e.g., security, convenience, regional access). Knowing there's a bit of scam-like behavior at the property, all the more reason to avoid.
We didn't do anything in Revere itself. The one thing I found odd is that there really isn't much near this hotel besides the two restaurants in the adjacent building (which we didn't visit so no idea if they're good). It's not really a "beach town" in the sense of lots of waterfront shops and the like. It's just....the end of the blue line...and it happens to be by the water. We walked over to the beach one morning but didn't get in the water.

For us it was purely a place to have easy access to Boston. Hotel shuttle + T access + large room + redemption rate that wasn't too outrageous were what closed the deal for us.

Another I forgot to mention was that the breakfast area was way too small for this size hotel and not restocked well. We used it on our first day (it wasn't great), tried to use it on our second day (but didn't get much food), and then quit trying to use it. We went into the city and found coffeeshops, bagel cafes, etc.

It's too bad - the location has promise. But whomever manages it is failing at their job.
