Without knowing how the question was worded, the answer seems to indicate you can't upgrade to a beach villa using points which I didn't think would be possible. But can you do so by paying cash?

Or did they mean that if you used points to make your initial booking they will not give you any option at all to upgrade? Which is quite odd because most other properties are happy to take more cash from you. I believe that once someone has a booking they can reach out to the resort and ask them for upgrade pricing in cash. I'd be fine with the base room but i find it hard to believe that the resort won't offer upgrades on cash if someone so desires but this SLH booking is all new for Hilton so the properties themselves are also still figuring all this out.
