I have seen a small placard with name of all the elites by status at a Residence Inn in San Jose a few years back. I smiled when I saw my name there and as I approached check-in, instead of saying I am X, checking in, I said, I am the third guy in that list checking in. The guy looked behind and said welcome Mr. Gupta
Those placards were later removed (possibly coz of privacy concerns?)
