Was flying on a JFK-LAX DL flight and was tracking my flight on the Flightradar app because I'm an avgeek.
As I was flying over Indiana it seemed there was weather in Chicagoland and there were many WX diversions. But one curious one was WN575 SAV-MDW. It circled around Indianapolis multiple times (no weather in IND) and then diverted to... BNA (see photo). Why? WN has sizable operations in IND, CVG and even SDF. Seems like a long distance for a WX diversion. As this was just at around 12:30am, I imagine this was quite unpleasant to be so far away from the destination for the pax.
