Tapping someone to get their attention is not assault or battery.

Tapping someone to get their attention is a completely normal and acceptable way to get someone's attention in this country.

Being met with police for tapping someone is utterly disproportionate and even absent charges being filed is humiliating and even traumatizing, especially for a person of color who already experiences all sorts of racism on a daily basis.

I continue to be appalled at how anti-consumer airlines and flight attendants have become. There are people who legitimately think that using the call button for a non-emergency is an unacceptable action, punishable by flight attendant reprimand.
