My wife’s points all expired at the end of last year. I think it was about 1200. She never used a single point. For most of our rentals we were together and used my account. And for most of our rentals we credited to UA when they had a partnership that earned a decent number of UA miles. I have about 3000 points left and will try to find a way to burn them before the end of the year (390 will expire according to day’s email), but if I don’t have a chance, I won’t lose any sleep over it.
