I am confident that management will focus on key critical path items, such hints suggest the entire organization has been preparing for the close of the merger, are more than capable of multitasking. The HawaiianMiles program is barely functional, reasonable to expect ALK to quickly roll out a combined program, offering full MP benefits on HA flights, equivalent MVP status to HA elites. AS is a MUCH larger, more capable entity than the one that had difficulties assimilating VX, system improvements required to join OW
should make for a much smoother, faster transition. Operating AS and HA as 2 separate entities should also greatly simplify the effort - labor agreements, seniority will be challenging tasks if/when ALK attempts to combine the 2 entities.
For example: We have a leisure trip SAN-OGG planned for early November, have not yet purchased tickets, plan to use BofA companion pass. I am cautiously optimistic that it will be possible to book trip on HA A321 rather than AS 737, better chances of FC upgrades.
