I just booked 1 F and 1 J award for end of October, so it isn't like they are blocking all awards on the route, this is just revenue management not wanting to give away award seats until they figure out what demand will look like for next summer, just like any other award program. They will probably eventually release seats, but July is as high season as it gets on US - Greece so you never know what they are going to do or how many seats they will sell for cash in advance.
