I find the business class to be a very poor experience compared to most other major airlines who have a staggered or diagonal seating approach where as Emirates line the business class seats up 2-3-2 so that you have to step over someone or be stepped over regardless of where you choose. Even worse, these flights to and from China are almost all night flights meaning that they are not great for sleeping or privacy.
I think Emirates A380 business is as good as BA first, easily better than BA business so I cannot understand how they thought the 777 layout through so badly, it has none of the extra features you normally get (drinks, storage, etc).
I have been flying this route in first but these flights are almost fully booked a couple of weeks ahead in business and first, it's hard to get seats anywhere.
Welcome to my world here in Scandinavia as I'm in Sweden and we only have 777ER with 2-3-2 Business. When I have to fly EK I sometimes upgrade to first for the sole reason of having my own space.
But you cant say the product is very poor for the sole purpose of aisle access, you have plenty of options for that.
There are very few who thinks BA first is a great experience, hell BA don't even have a good Business class when you compare it with others like Qatar. If you fly that often upgrade to Emirates first on the A380, take a shower and relax, you might need it...
