However he decided to go off to the BA lounge which he was let in, I don’t know if this was because we were on the same booking or the agent at the desk was being generous!
I’m guessing their system doesn’t automatically deny access or flash up “under 18” on their screen, so it sounds like the agent just has to spot it themselves.
so if your 15 year old looks and acts more like an adult than a child, perhaps he will slip through unnoticed by the agent. They probably don’t see many under 18 Golds flying alone so they just assume he’s an adult unless it’s obvious he’s not.
I’ve seen 14 year olds who you would swear are at least 20 and I’ve seen 16 year olds who look 12, so it’s quite difficult sometimes
