I have just managed to get tickets to the rowing finals via the resale site - the son of a friend is in one of the Great Britain boats. I know Paris well but I see that the rowing is the middle of nowhere in Vaires-sur-Marne. Is there anywhere safe to stay around there (I don’t want to end up in a scary banlieue by mistake)? Otherwise presumably we need to stay somewhere near the Gare de L’Est? We will only go for 1 or 2 nights so need it to be really convenient. I have Accor diamond status so ideally looking for Accor options - thank you for any suggestions.
