There's no PP lounge at Bahrain airport, you'll need Dragon Pass. The Pearl lounge there is by far the best contract lounge I've ever been to (better than many airline lounges in other airports) and the airport itself is nice and not crowded.
Thanks. I'm actually thinking I could live without lounge access at Bahrain especially as I'm warming to the idea of a 2-3 day stopover on the way to BKK. It's not like I have a lengthy layover in between flights at the airport. I've also given up alcohol recently and so all I'd be looking for is a quick bite pre flight and it sounds as though the airport isn't that crowded. My Priority pass should get me lounge access at LHR and BKK. I see that Gulf depart from LHR T4 which means I'd be spared from the Aspire lounge at T5.Also, the BKK to LHR with Finnair departing at 07:15 and arriving at 20:40 UK time sounds like it would be a brutal day.
Do you know if Gulf Air allows free seat selection when OLCI opens? Edit: Just checked online and it appears as though they do.
