While the real Premier Suites are supposed to be about twice the size of the standard suites (called Regency Suites), Regency Deluxe Suites, or Regency Executive Suites are only slightly larger than standard suites. The lounge manager told me (a long time ago) that those higher category Regency Suites are basically the same as the standard suite but on a higher floor.

I think you are right that maybe they mix the terminology of what they call some suites. During 2021 they had the million baht rate yearly rate and I assume (but don't know for sure) that some of the more than 15? people who purchased the package eventually got suites of various types.

Another problem is that anything above the lowest, standard suite is technically considered a "Premium" suite when using points, so easily confused with Premier by everyone (staff and guests alike).

Indeed, Premier Suites are supposed to be on the higher floors 25-27, but I think I've stayed in a suite with the extra large living room that was not on one of those high floors. I don't know exactly what type of suite it was bc I was asked to move from a corner room on short notice, after being there 2 nights already, even though I said I was fine where I was. They said they didn't want to give the suite room to someone with no status. It was a Saturday afternoon, so I think they found themselves suddenly sold out that day, so they asked me to switch rooms.

If you eventually find out more information, please let us know. Thanks! You have more nights at this hotel than me. I'm more of a HP, HIX, Ibis guy.
Based on the website description the Regency Deluxe Suite should be slightly larger than the Regency Suite, not sure if this is true or not.
I've yet to stay anything bigger than an Executive Suite. It is not much bigger than the standard Regency Suite.

I'm confident it was an Executive Suite and not a Premier Suite, and I'm pretty sure it was 2206. Maybe I remember the room # wrong.

Are you sure you didn't have a Presidential Suite? Those definitely have balconies.
