Those of you following my Amankila post and arrival - Jann Hess reached out to me personally via email and we were able to catch up over the phone. He’s great and understands the issue at hand. Service recovery was offered in a gracious manner after the phone conversation. I appreciated that it was unprompted and handled with some finesse.
It really was puzzling to comment like that to a HVG or any guest for that matter.
