My message above has been happily superseded, more than two days out on SYD-PER-CDH my upgrade to J has been confirmed, which is awesome for a flight totalling 22 hours (including the SYD-PER leg)!

And of course I would be delighted with any J seat but amazingly I have quite a choice. I suppose because the Olympics are still ten days out and its a new route its not sold out.

Anyway, I have been allocated 4K so the "aisle" window. As mentioned i am certainly not complaining, but while the true window seats are all gone I have quite a choice notably in the second cabin where most seats are still available.

In the front cabin 2F 4K and 8 E,F,K are open and in the back cabin I have choice of 10 A,F,K; 11 E,F and 12 A,E,F

I'm thinkng the only worthwhile swaps might be 2 F because of the bulkhead or 4E or10E cos its the got more privacy from the aisle. I'm thinking avoiding tbe back cabin as while its wide open now presumably every seat will go with upgrades?

Any suggestions appreciated, as I am on one ticket it seems I have the same seat on both legs so cant change at Perth.

thank you!
