I bought 2 business class tickets for the MNL-BKK leg and specifically asked customer service if a 1 hour and 50 minute layover is too short a period for luggage to transfer planes. I was assured it was not and I was even told that there was an itinerary which has a shorter lay over period. So booked and bought these tickets. When we arrived Bangkok, 1 of 2 of the bags could not be located. No one gave us a straight answer, no one bothered to call me. And this happened despite having been assured it wont. Even after 7 hours of waiting, utterly nothing. I have reached out to Cathay Pacific in Hong Kong and I have reached out to Cathay Pacific in Bangkok, but nothing. I even reached out to Cathay Pacific in Manila to inform them and ask them to maybe help in the search but, being Sunday and all, I knew they would have limited personnel on hand.
is this how it is with Cathay already. They used to be so efficient? Now, Im filling up the complaint form in order for me to claim damages against delayed luggage under the Warsaw convention as amended. Based on the distance of the travel, I probably wont get much. But im gladly doing it because Cathay has to answer for their utter negligence.
Did they manage to find your luggage yet?
How do you figure CX caused you $10,000 in damages? That's a pretty substantial number for such a simple itinerary.
