Ultimately, it’s unclear if OP went in to these phone calls with an antagonizing attitude or not. If they asked for clarification or to see if it’s a mistake, okay, but if they went in with an attitude, then I can see how this didn’t go well. It’s also hard to judge as we don’t know the tone of the voice of the associate (New Yorkers aren’t known to be warm and fuzzy) when they told OP they could sit on the ground.

Regardless, this is a nightclub hotel with all of the various nonsense that comes with it.

OP’s Hyatt concierge shouldn’t have been rude as long as OP didn’t come in with unnecessary aggression or attitude. The concierge doesn’t have control over the chair policy.
I was calling WOH far less about the hotel policy and far more about how these fees are not clear on the Hyatt app and it makes it look like a standard Hyatt. I think this is the main problem with how Hyatt has absorbed all of these other brands. If I knew up -front that it was a crappy nightclub brand I probably would have never looked at it. Also I think you guys are missing the point on the rep saying I could sit on the ground. It doesn't matter what tone she used because she was just saying it to be rude. I am positive that if I were to try sitting on the ground I would be hassled about not paying for a lounge chair.
