when retroclaiming miles/xp, does anyone know what is the date which is taken in account (flight date or crediting date) ?

I have to take an extra flight this month that would lead me to reach FB gold, with no plan to enjoy any benefits of gold status until october. As I don’t need any silver benefits for this flight, was thinking about not adding my FF number and asking FB for a retroclaim next october and thus save 3 months of status.
