If the pricing is low enough say goodbye to a ton of comp upgrades. In DL’s mind any money they get from an unsold business class seat goes right to the bottom line vs giving it away free to an elite.
Basic Business will be the new floor at the current pricing and then everything else will be at a higher level. GUC’s will be a BB redemption. Delta’s fixed cost is way to high to offer a lower business class fare as this would also
cannibalize the PS cabin, which Delta’s pricing is ridiculous, but fools still pay for.
